Semua staf klinis dan nonklinis diberi orientasi di rumah sakit dan unit kerja tempat staf akan bekerja dan tanggung jawab spesifik pada saat diterima bekerja.

Maksud dan Tujuan KKS 7

Keputusan untuk menempatkan seseorang sebagai staf rumah sakit dilakukan melalui berbagai proses. Agar dapat berperan dan berfungsi dengan baik, semua staf baru harus mengetahui dengan benar segala sesuatu tentang rumah sakit dan memahami tanggung jawab pekerjaan klinis atau nonklinis untuk mencapai misi rumah sakit. Hal ini dapat dicapai melalui orientasi umum dan orientasi khusus.

Orientasi umum tentang rumah sakit, mutu, keselamatan pasien, serta pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi.

Orientasi khusus tentang unit kerja, uraian tugas, dan tanggung jawab dalam pekerjaannya. Demikian pula berlaku untuk staf kontrak, staf magang, dan peserta didik.

1.      Ada regulasi yang menetapkan orientasi umum dan khusus bagi staf klinis dan nonklinis baru.(R)
